Sadie Ava lives in Portland, Oregon by way of New York and Seattle. She sings, writes, plays all the instruments, and produces most of her songs. Her songwriting is drawn from her life, or the world around her - which means her songs are mostly about women, climate change, or both. She's influenced by punk rock and R&B but occasionally will throw a banjo into the mix just for fun.
In 2014 she self-released The Way We Are, a record about falling in love with her now wife. Sadie is the front-woman of Sundries, a Northwest rock band that has shared the stage with acts like Thunderpussy, Young The Giant, and Deerhunter.
In December, 2023 she will release a series of new music collected from moments on long drives up and down I-5.
She's sad and gay and occasionally, a good hang.

She sings from the gut, spitting dirty words like bullets at times, and others twisting her voice around like a snake."
