Desert Shame

After leading Portland roots-rockers GIN & TILLYANNA for twenty years, singer-guitarist Jodi Stevens wanted a new band that was still rootsy but rocked harder. Guitarist Ben Asher joined first, and eventually recruited his former SCREAMING GEEZERS bandmates (and former CONFIDENTIALS), bassist Tim Clift and drummer Alec Burton. Desert Shame’s performances in Portland and Seattle have inspired comparisons to X, TEX AND THE HORSEHEADS, and JOAN JETT. They are currently recording their debut album.

Head downstairs at the Crystal Hotel to hang out in this venue named for Al Winter, Portland's 1940's gambling overlord. Enjoy a craft libation in this intimate, speakeasy-style space where live music and comedy fill the air.

Friday & Saturday, 3 pm – 1 am
Sunday, 3 pm - 10 pm
Closed Monday & Tuesday
