Mama Sam and The Jams

New Portland based, psychedelic folk pop band Mama Sam & The Jam lifts vibrations and gives goose bumps. Like Mazzy Star meets Fleetwood Mac, catchy melodies and powerful harmonies over trippy guitar and groovy beats leaves listeners feeling high on vibes.

The group's fresh and intense synergy makes Mama Sam & The Jam fun to watch. The Jam features Carmen Paradise slapping that bass, Nick Foltz on drums, Rachael Curtin singin' those harmonies and Mike Wiser wailing on psych guitar. Mama Sam is a soulful songwriter who sings and plays guitar.

The band recently recorded and released their first EP Hearing is Hard with producer Sean Flora. Mama Sam & The Jam are sure to elevate your groove with one of many new original jams. Keep an ear out for new music and upcoming shows in the PNW!

Head downstairs at the Crystal Hotel to hang out in this venue named for Al Winter, Portland's 1940's gambling overlord. Enjoy a craft libation in this intimate, speakeasy-style space where live music and comedy fill the air.
