Where's West?
Equal parts sun-soaked California nostalgia and modern indie-rock swagger, Where's West? delivers the kind of euphoric soundtrack that demands high volume. Blending infectious hooks, ethereal synths, and a kind of effortless musicianship, the Los Angeles-based quartet pulls inspiration from indie-rock, house and funk to occupy a space that feels uniquely theirs.
Where's West? began in the most unlikely of places: a cramped laundry room tucked beneath a college house. Late-night jam sessions quickly evolved into something more as four musicians discovered a creative chemistry and shared passion for getting people out of their heads and into their bodies.
Throughout their formation, Where's West? has operated on a wave of synchronicity. Even in moments of total uncertainty, the chemistry of the bandmates, almost magically, just makes things work. Before long, their high-energy, sweat inducing performances were drawing crowds beyond just backyard parties. They have quickly built a loyal following that has helped propel them onto stages at renowned venues and festivals including Sweetwater Music Hall, Wonderfront Festival and The Troubadour.
Known for electrifying live shows and a sound that bridges the gap between rock and dance, Where's West? continues to carve out its own lane in the indie music landscape. Fueled by optimism and authenticity, the band is steadily becoming one of Southern California's most exciting emerging acts.
Where's West? Is Zan Curleigh (vocals, guitar), Aidan Babuka Black (vocals, keys), Robbie Cullerton (bass), and West Hauser (drums).
