Fern Spores is a NorthwesternAmericana band, blending blues ballads with wistful folk songs and gritty pop hooks. Bold yet vulnerable lyricism wrapped up in soaring melodies and moody guitar.

Fern Spores is comprised of Alyssa Nunke (lead vocals, guitar, lyrics) , Chris Zikeli (percussion, bass vocals), and Jade Kovats (lead guitar, vocals). They channel their influences of Janis Joplin, Tom Waits, Shakey Graves, and The Lumineers. They are heavily inspired by the dramatic landscapes of Western Washington and spend their free time amongst the ferns.
