The Commodore’s Reserve Barleywine
Lighthouse Brewery
Doug Ashley

The Commodore has made available, once again, his private reserve, a rich, full bodied and smooth barleywine. This precious cargo has notes of dark fruit and the already complex flavor profile has been complimented with the addition of an oak spiral that was soaked in our very own Longshot Brandy. At nearly eleven percent alcohol by volume, this barleywine commands even The Commodore’s respect and is sure to have you setting sail for new horizons.

The Black Hole Imperial Stout
Roseburg Brewery
Tom Johnson

Deep, dark, thick and rich: beware the Black Hole. Gravitational forces and a rotating mash paddle work to concentrate this great mass of beer atoms into a glass of beer so strong and so dark that not even light can escape. The Black Hole is an Imperial Stout weighing in at a massive 7.35% alcohol by volume. Dark matter in the form of Dark Crystal, Brown, Chocolate, Blackprinz, Roasted Rye malts and Roast Barley, along with 2-Row Pale and NW Pale Ale malts, combine with the lupulin, alpha acids, beta acids and essential oils of Nugget and Goldings hops, and whiskey and oak flavors from over a month of aging on oak marinated with our McMenamins Monkey Puzzle Whiskey, to warp space and time into a singularity of intense strength and flavor that will tear your atoms apart from the inside out.

Death Star 15m
CPR Brewery
Chris Oslin and Brady Romtvedt

Last year’s champion returns. Now 15 months old, this ale has matured from a ham-fisted, hop-headed youngster into a brandy-sipping connoisseur of higher pleasures. Savor the notes of fig and brandied fruit that permeate the rich layers of this black barley wine. Feel the alcohol slowly warm your body as hop flowers dance between the vertebrate of the ale’s 1000 pound backbone. Finally, raise your glass and toast a year’s worth of good memories and the beneficence of Father Time.

Wee Heavy Strong Scotch Ale
Crystal Brewery
Mark Goodwin and Dan Black

This strong Scotch ale is a malt lover’s dream. It was made as traditional as possible using all European base malts and fermented at a cooler temperature. Doing this discourages the production of unwanted esters while encourages the sweetness you look for in a strong Scotch ale. Hints of smoked and peated malt were added to bring out the robust character of this ale. It is dark burnt orange in color with an off-white lacey head and has a bready caramel nose with hints of smoke, dark fruit and a chewy sweetness on the palate.
Malts: Marris Otter, Pale Wheat, Pale Munich, Smoked Malt, Peated Malt, Caramel Munich 60L, Black Malt, Victory Malt
Hops: Golding
OG: 1.083  TG: 1.024  ABV: 7.6  IBU: 26  SRM: 19
Buzz Words: smoke, sweetness, caramel
