About Mayday Maibock
To help us in the transition from the bleak, wet cold of Winter in to the bleak, wet warmth of the next season, we brewers at Edgefield have followed the ancient Bavarian tradition of the Spring maibock. This maibock is a copper-colored lager with a rich, malty body and flavors of caramel, toffee, and grain. The malt flavor, however, is tempered by the crisp, smooth fermentation profile imparted by a style-fitting German lager yeast that rounds off any rough edges and molds Mayday Maibock in to a truly refined beer that lends itself to multiple servings.
Malts: Pilsen Malt, Dark Munich, Munich, Melanoidin, Crystal Rye, Crystal 135/165, and Crystal 40
Hops: Tettnanger and Crystal
OG: 1.071 FG: 1.019 ABV: 6.71 IBU: 30 SRM: 10
