About The Brothers Reed
Familial Folk
The Brothers Reed are a Southern Oregon-based Americana/folk/punkgrass band built around family, storytelling, and a healthy appreciation for the beautiful mess of being alive. Founded in 2013 when Phil Reed moved from St. Charles, Missouri to reunite with his older brother Aaron, the band has spent the past 12 years touring relentlessly and carving out a sound that refuses to stay in one lane.
With Phil on guitar, harmonica, and keys; Aaron on guitar, banjo, and drums; Bri Murphy on fiddle; and Nancy Martin on cello, The Brothers Reed blend folk, bluegrass, punk, rock, and roots music into something uniquely their own.Their songs explore love, loss, pain, joy, running, dogs, spirituality, and the strange experiences that make up a life. Known for deep storytelling, rich harmonies, and plenty of laughs, the band invites audiences along for an honest, soulful, and sometimes hilarious journey Winners of the 2025 Tucson Folk Festival songwriting contest, The Brothers Reed have released six studio albums and one live album, headlined festivals across the West, sold out Oregon's Historic Holly Theatre and Craterian Theatre, and were voted Best Band in Southern Oregon for 10 consecutive years.
Their latest album, Long Way to Go, was released in July 2026.
