About James Beard Dinner
Our annual dinner pays homage to the father of American cuisine, who used to summer here in Gearhart, and who would've celebrated his 101st birthday in May. We honor the chef and culinarian with a multicourse dinner, where our Black Rabbit Restaurant Executive Chef Kenny Giambalvo has based the night's menu on Beard's love of the Oregon Coast. All courses will be paired with Edgefield wines.
Also at the dinner will be people who knew Beard. Likewise, we'll show a portion of "America's First Foodie" - a film about the life and influence of James Beard.
