FAQ

I heard that fees are lower if I buy tickets in person ... is this true?
Yup, the fee is only two bucks if you buy those tickets in person at our box office, located in the Bottle Shop on the first floor.

I have a print-at-home ticket ... can you just scan the original email from my phone?
We're able to scan ticket barcodes from most phones.... Make sure your brightness is turned up for best results! If that doesn't work we will be able to enter your ticket's order number into the system and get you into the show that way.

Help, I can't find my tickets! Can you resend/email them to me?
Even better, just go here and provide your email address as well as the last 4 digits of the card used for purchase. A ticket confirmation will be sent to you.

I can’t make it to the show that I have a ticket to, can I transfer the ticket to someone else?
Yes, you can.

Do you offer refunds?
We are not able to offer refunds. If you opted to purchase insurance through our ticketing company as part of your ticket purchase, you should have received an email from Allianz Global Assistance, and you can file a claim with them directly. You are also welcome to sell your tickets. Please address any additional questions or concerns to tacbox@mcmenamins.com.

Is there ADA Accessibility?
Yes, the Spanish Ballroom is fully accessible. Enter through the building's main entrance off of Broadway. Take the elevator (just inside the front door) down to the second floor. Turn right out of the elevator and travel through the Spanish Bar. The venue entrance will be on your left.

How do I arrange for special seating accommodations?
To request ADA seating for a specific event, please send a detailed message to tacbox@mcmenamins.com and a member of our team will reach out with further instructions.

Are there age restrictions?
Age restrictions are in place for some shows. Any age restrictions will be noted on your ticket and on our website, spanishballroom.com, as part of the show’s information.

Is there seating in the Ballroom or is it standing room only?
We host a diverse array of events and our setup changes from show to show, from standing room only to tables and chairs, or sometimes a mix of the two. For setup information about a specific event please email tacbox@mcmenamins.com and we'll do our best to answer your questions.

Is there mezzanine seating?
This is decided on a show-by-show basis and could be determined as late as the day of the show.

Where do I park?
Our venue does not have designated parking. Parking in the area is first come, first served, some free and some paid parking. Pro tip: park near the Tacoma Dome and use the rail line to get dropped off right by our commerce street entrance! Check out the Tacoma Dome Parking Guide for some very well-organized info about parking options in that area.

Where is Will Call located?
Generally, Will Call is located at the podium on the first floor beginning 30 minutes before doors open. Prior to that time, it will be located in the Bottle Shop on the same floor. For certain shows, it will be located just inside the Ballroom entrance.

Can I bring my camera to a show?
While we don't have specific house policy, we do enforce the band's policies, and we don't typically know those policies until the day of the show. Usually only phones or small handheld cameras are allowed, but all attendees are subject to the stipulations from the band. Professional camera gear is almost never permitted.

Is there a coat check?
We do not have a coat check in the building.

Is there food available in the Ballroom?
The food options in the ballroom vary from show to show, with sliced pizza available for standing-room-only shows and a small menu for seated shows.

Can I bring in food from other parts of the hotel?
Any food or beverage purchased at one of our property bars and restaurants can be brought into any show. For standing-room-only shows, we ask that any food be brought in in to-go boxes and sans metal cutlery.

How long are shows typically?
Every show is different. They generally range from 2 to 4 hours.

I have questions about the opening acts and who is playing when.
Please email tacbox@mcmenamins.com and a member of our team will reach out.

How do I rent your ballroom for a private event?
Please direct all inquiries to tacbox@mcmenamins.com with as many details about your event as possible, and our venue manager will get back to you at their earliest convenience.
