21 and over
Strangled Darlings is a new version of Portland DIY indie featuring fat grooves from cello as bass keeper and rag tag assortment of other acoustic weapons topped with literary lyrics delving into murder, sex, and heavy drinking. The band moves from simple acoustic heart breakers to off kilter waltzes to a string scratching rap about lust for the Devil in Savannah, Georgia. They weave together the beautiful, sad and absurd in a tight scrimshaw of sound that leaves the listener feeling like they just had story time and two bourbons neat.
