About The DEFiBULATORs
Likened to watching "Hee-Haw on mescaline," The DEFiBULATORs wield an arsenal of guitars, banjos, fiddles, and junkyard percussion, with relentless energy and virtuosity. The DEFiBULATORs jump-start new life into vintage country music and deliver a unique sound that's anything but old timey. Razor sharp harmonies by Bug Jennings and Erin Bru, along with dark and surreal lyrics, illuminate songs that are gritty and witty; spinning tales of deception, debauchery, depleted bank accounts, fanaticism, vintage firearms, biological anomalies, airline intoxication, and animal ennui.
Though the band formed in NYC, its members hail from all corners of the country. Singer/banjoist Bug Jennings and washboard/harmonica player Metalbelly were both raised in Ft. Worth TX, only to be accidentally reacquainted years later in Greenwich Village's Washington Square Park. Meanwhile, singer Erin Bru drifted over from Los Angeles, Smitty the Giant Fiddler was being dairy fed in Wisconsin, and a trio of East Coasters would eventually round out the group. Lead guitarist and Hoboken native Roadblock (aka Chris Hartway) initially met Jennings while working at a Manhattan BBQ joint, finding a shared obsession of classic country music. Fellow Garden state-er Mike Riddleberger was later recruited to play drums, along with Philadelphia bassist Freddy Epps. The band cut its teeth on classic obscurities, gigging relentlessly in NYC, while peripherally writing the original songs that would eventually comprise Corn Money.
Produced by John Hill (Santigold, Devo) and Terrence Bernardo (Taxi Taxi), mixed by D. James Goodwin (Murder By Death, Camphor), and mastered by Greg Calbi at Sterling Sound, The DEFiBULATORs' debut full-length album, Corn Money is making waves in the world of alternative country. Heavily praised upon its release, Corn Money was cited as "a fantastic, fantastical debut" (Melophobe) and "a brash, bold, trend-setting accomplishment" (Honest Tune) Corn Money is available now for download on iTunes, Amazon, napster, emusic, and other digital music sites. Hard copies of the album can be ordered exclusively through this website's online store or at live shows.
They have placed their songs in feature and short films, television, and online productions. Most recently placing two tunes in the independent feature film The Dry Land. They also composed original music for, Skiptracers, Roadtrip Nation, NFL Films, among other projects. The DEFiBULATOR's self-published their very own 24-page Coloring Book, tour in a 1977 Dodge ambulance, and proudly serve as the house band for THE REJECTION SHOW at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in NYC.
The band enjoys authentic BBQ, afternoon badminton, and bourbon on a bearskin rug.
About Mimicking Birds
What started out as a solo project under the moniker Neight (a portmanteau of ‘Nate' and ‘eight') has evolved into the trio now known as Mimicking Birds. Originally from Portland, flock lead man Nate Lacy initially learned to play guitar during his senior year in high school. Shortly after graduating, he moved south to Eugene for two years and began writing music. Once he became acquainted with a Yamaha 16-track digital recorder, Nate began recording his songs while playing all of the instruments himself.
Recently, Nate was joined by his childhood friends, drummer Aaron Hanson, whose talent is constructing spacious, purposeful beats while Tim Skellenger, being the least structured musician in the band brings a lighthearted and buoyant sound on guitar. With a quiet but consistently growing fan base, Mimicking Birds began performing for audiences in the Pacific Northwest in 2008 and are currently on tour with Modest Mouse.
"We enjoy making music for scenery. The sound of language and big picture issues are inspirations for our music." - Mimicking Birds
Think ethereal melodies by way of cosmic folk. Nate masters the use of reverb to create ambient sounds. Accompanied by a voice so delicate and seraphic, Mimicking Birds play lachrymose songs that synchronously evoke warm-heartedness and an overall compassion for life without coming off dilettante or sending you an invitation to a pity party. It's the band you find out about, listen to incessantly, want so much to keep a secret, but can't resist the urge to play for everyone you know.

About Lincoln Crockett Band
After spending three years establishing the genre-bending prowess of the Pacific Northwest's highest profile progressive bluegrass group, Cross-Eyed Rosie, Lincoln Crockett is making a name for himself as a solo performer.
Progressive, earthy, grungy, acoustic prog-rock, new-grass, smart pop-folk, ass-kicking acoustic new age... they don't get at it. With the social consciousness of Michael Franti, the clean honesty of James Taylor, the backward longing of Gillian Welch and grooves that are simultaneously upbeat and behind the beat, Crockett is the real deal -- his sound is unmistakable.
This skilled singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist (guitar and mandolin) offers songs that are pungent delicacies, infectious works that begin gently, build, peak and suddenly segue into acoustic-electronica and swoony moments of atmospheric beauty. His set of almost entirely original music -- lyrical tunes and captivating instrumentals -- is not to be missed.
"Crockett's lazy-day vocal charm and simple guitar melodies remind one a bit of John Mayer--if Mayer spent time on a kibbutz with Devendra Banhart. Which, come to think of it, ain't that bad of an idea." - The Willamette Week
