About Marianne Dissard
Between Chanson and Americana, "L'Entredeux" is Marianne Dissard's enchanting debut album. Produced, composed and performed by Calexico's Joey Burns, with stellar contributions by friends from both continents, including Calexico's John Convertino on drums, Naïm Amor (Amor Belhom Duo), Rob Burger (Tin Hat Trio), Sammy Decoster and Mickey Raphael (Willie Nelson), "L'Entredeux" was released worldwide in the Fall 2008, with 15 months of constant touring, from Europe to New Zealand to North America. Between Southwestern noir and acoustic French pop, "L'Entredeux" won a prestigious Coup De Coeur from France's Académie Charles Cros in 2009 and was voted in the Top 10 French albums of the decade by Francophile bloggers. "A moody, captivating album, with roots in Nick Drake's introspection, Francoise Hardy's romanticism and Nina Simone's drama." writes Blurt Magazine. The first music video from "L'Entredeux" guest-features France's pop stars Katerine and Dominique A.
Selected as one of "50 French people that matter in the USA" in France-Amérique 2009 Summer issue, Marianne attended SXSW 2010, blogging for Huffington Post from the festival and released her ‘intermediary' album, "Paris One Takes" ("8/10″ Blurt, "a fantastic album. 4/5″ Venus Magazine), recorded in ‘one takes' in Paris, France in December 2009 with her touring band, as a free download, in gratitude to her fans and friends for allowing a music dream to come true.
Marianne is now working on her second album, "L'Abandon", with her Tucson bandmates and collaborators Christian Ravaglioi from Italy, Luke Doucet from Canada, Arthur Vint, Connor Gallaher and Thøger Lund from Tucson and BK-One from Minneapolis. "L'Abandon" will be released in early 2011, with its companion DVD, "Lonesome Cowgirls", a bawdy burlesque remake, directed by Marianne, of the Andy Warhol's 1968 western movie shot in Tucson, AZ.

About Francoiz Breut
Françoiz Breut is the original pioneer of the Nouvelle Scène Française. Her career began modestly, away from the limelight, as a background singer for her former partner Dominique A. When A eventually encouraged her to start her own career in 1997, Breut quickly became the main ambassador of the new French scene among foreign audiences.
Since then her inimitable voice has inspired countless well known song writers to contribute songs to her first three albums. With her fourth album "À l'aveuglette", Françoiz Breut is breaking new ground: the songs were conceived in cooperation with musicians of her long time live-band and this time she has written all the lyrics herself. The result "À l'aveuglette" is a much more homogenous album than its predecessors and - perhaps for this very reason - an even better one!

About Mood Area 52
Michael Roderick founded Mood Area 52 in 1998 as a Piazzola inspired neo-tango ensemble. Since then the group has incorporated Golden Age Tango material, lounge, electronica, Eastern European influences, polyglot vocal material, Waitsian cabaret tunes, chanson and original compositions about love, loss, genetic mutations, daring women in petticoats and the ill-hatched crimes of ambitious charlatans. The band performs acoustically as a duo, trio, etc., and expands into a sextet, combining the talents of accordionist and vocalist Michael Roderick, cellist Amy Danziger, vocalist Marietta Bonaventure, guitarist Billy Barnett, bassist Sylvain Duplant, and drummer James West. Mood Area 52 also features various Oregon musicians including Dustin Lanker, Mckenzie Stubbert, Dan Schmidt, Dylan DeRobertis, Anthony Dyer, Derek Trost, Kee Zublin, Cosmos Corbin, Kelly Leguizamon, and Richard Johnson, adding horns, strings, drums, and additional vocals.
Mood Area 52 has performed with Naim Amor, Chuck Palhnuik, The Damo Suzuki Network, Rasputina, The Tin Hat Trio, Slowpoke, Amy Denio, Devotchka, David Lindley, Vagabond Opera, Heroes and Villains, and many other national acts. They perform in venues ranging from clubs to festival stages to old folks homes, accompanying burlesque troops, producing themed multimedia shows, and providing original soundtracks to golden age films.
Mood Area 52 has written and performed original soundtracks to F.W. Murnau's Nosferatu, Marks' dystopian sci-fi classic La Jete, Sunset Boulevard, numerous Buster Keaton shorts, and several independent films. Mood Area 52's composition "Furniture Migration" will be used in an upcoming animated short by acclaimed Spanish animated film director Ricard Gras, and Music from their most recent album "Guevara's Ghost" will be used in an upcoming documentary on the life of Che Guevara called "Imagen del Hombre Nuevo."
Mood Area 52 has connections with the Eugene, Portland and San Francisco tango community. Their music and interviews have been featured on Argentine Public Radio and on the Buenos Aires station Dos por Quatro. Roderick and Cosmos' collaboration, "Guevara's Ghost," a fusion of tango, lounge and glitchy trip-hop beats, is now available through Rocketboy Arts along with their previous releases "Mood Area 52" and "Nine Fancy Tangos." The group is currently working on a new album featuring original vocal compositions.
