About Robert Burns Scotch and Cigar Dinner
We'll toast the Scottish Bard, the scotch, the sky, the stars, and more at this feast in the Meadow...
Who's Robert Burns, you may ask? Good question -- Robert "Rabbie" Burns (1759-1796) was a much beloved Scottish poet. You're probably familiar with one of his most celebrated works - does "Auld Lang Syne" ring any New Year's bells?
While usually celebrated in January around the Scottish Bard's birthday, a true Burns Night celebration will generally involve these key ingredients: scotch, poetry, songs, and scotch. (In Scotland, it would also feature a haggis; luckily, the USDA has deemed the import of this dish illegal.) So, at our midsummer event, we will put the emphasis on the drink, the smokes and the food.
