About The Honky Tonk Union Band
In
2009 friends Garrett Burt, Jesse Cunningham, and Kristin Wells set out to start
a band that reflected their fandom of classic country music. Throughout the
next year the band went through a few personel changes, but by the end of 2010
members "Little Paully" Hoercherl and Lucky Noreen joined the band and
the line up was set.
Holding true to the initial vision, Honky Tonk
Union draws influence from the 60's Bakersfield sound of Merle Haggard &
Buck Owens, the Classic Nashville Recordings of Loretta Lynn & George
Jones, and the 50's Rockabilly of Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley & Wanda
Jackson.
In 2012 the band released their debut album
Paintin' the Town Again. The album features 11 original songs and 6 covers of
classic Honky Tonk, Country, and Rockabilly hits.
Honky Tonk Union continues to fill dance halls
and honky tonks of the NW such as The Ponderosa Lounge and The Landmark Saloon.
The band has also played numerous outdoor festivals such as The Rose City Round
Up, Rust o Rama, The Division/Clinton St Fair, The Hwy 99 Rockabilly Burlesque
Showdown and many more.
