About Cindy Alexander

Content Cindy Alexander has long been a favorite of the Los Angeles music scene, with her first three albums (See Red, Smash, and Angels & Demons) all nominated for Album of the Year by the L.A. Music Awards -- which also crowned her Songwriter of the Year and Indie Pop Artist of the Year on separate occasions. She has also earned honors from All Access Magazine, CNET and Just Plain Folks (a songwriting organization), and in November 2006, won NBC and David Foster's "Star Tomorrow" competition. Though the latter proved a great experience, Alexander decided the "prize" was an offer she could refuse, choosing instead to maintain her fierce independence and continue running her own label, Jamcat Records. Alexander tours nationally and internationally (including entertaining our troops courtesy of Armed Forces Entertainment) and has shared the stage with such bands as The Bacon Brothers, Suzanne Vega, Joan Osborn, Bob Schneider, Ben Taylor, The Bangles, Edwin McCain, Marc Cohn, Howard Jones, Dishwalla, Gin Blossoms, America, Joe Bonamassa, and many more. Her performances have been called "star quality" and the "best of the L.A. Music Scene" by both fans and critics alike. Alexander's music has appeared on several soundtracks and compilations and has been featured in films (Here on Earth, Smokers, Sugar & Spice, Dorm Daze II) and television (Party of Five). She released her fourth album, Wobble with the World, in October 2007.
