Made to honor legendary Portland Beer Scribe Fred Eckhart on his 86th Birthday, this unique cask-conditioned ale is made with a large percentage of top quality wheat malt and fermented with a special German ale yeast. Post fermentation, this beer is aged on French Oak that has been soaked in Momakawa Pearl Sake. It pours orangey-yellow and cloudy. The aroma is that of wheat, bananas, sake, and mild oak notes. The flavor is mildly sweet and refreshing with a hint of floral hoppiness.
