About King Kom Beaux
King Kom Beaux was formed in 2014, when well known Northwest drummer/band leader Billy-The Pocket-Barner teamed back up with Louisiana Native guitarist/singer/song writer and long time friend, Doug Kearney expressly to form this band. Together they conceptualized a band having an edgy, driving, Southern Rock and Blues sound with a dash of Cajun influence. King Kom Beaux won the South Sound Blues Association Back To Beale Street competition in 2015. Then King Kom Beaux represented The South Sound Blues Association and the State of Washington on Beale Street in Memphis Tennessee at The International Blues Challenge in January 2016.
King Kom Beaux performs soul stirring original compositions and their own stylized versions of familiar covers in the same vain. King Kom Beaux's sound can be compared to those of popular bands and performers like Little Feat, ZZ Top, SRV, Jimi Hendrix, John Mayer, Sonny Landreth, The Band, Neville Brothers, Boz Scaggs, The Allman Brothers, Tab Benoit, Elmore James, Johnny Taylor and Eric Bibb.
