About Snacks at Midnight
Laughing, dancing and even a little bit of crying --
these are some things you can expect at a Snacks at Midnight show. The team of
five dashing young men, born and raised in Spokane, WA with a penchant of doing
the ridiculous, look to make a memorable experience when they perform. Whether
performing in front of 5 people or 1000, you always get that podcast-like
banter between songs, jokes that sometimes land or the lead singer running
around like a madman breaking his guitar. Snack’s live show is certainly an
experience that goes nicely with their groovy indie-rock, pop, funky sound. The
group takes influences from acts like, Dayglow, Hippocampus and backseat
Lovers.
The origin of Snacks at Midnight is a
classic one. High school friends Rory Babin (songwriter, lead vocals, and
rhythm guitar), Giovani Covarrubias (lead guitar), and Nickolaus Harner (bass
and vocals) founded the group in their Sophomore year of high school. Once they
figured out how to play their instruments, they eventually added Rory’s younger
brother, William Babin (keys and vocals) their senior year. Recently, Austin Davis joined on drums,
creating the band we all know and love today, Snacks at Midnight. In 2020, they released their debut
album, Mom’s Proud and a year later, they added 2 new singles to their
repertoire.
