Jacquie Henry

As a Portland native, Jacquie Henry isn't new to the city but is making her debut as a solo artist. She started attending a local open mic in October 2019 and quickly found an encouraging, supportive community of musicians. She was deeply inspired by this community and started writing new material instantly. Her new EP Nothing Fancy will be the first collection of songs she has ever released.

Henry enjoys singing and playing guitar but feels most comfortable when labeled as a "story teller." She uses her music to tell both her and others' life stories as a way of cathartic emotional processing.

Meeting new people who identify with her music is Henry's favorite part of being in a local music scene. If you come to a show or see her around town, stopping to say "hi" will surely make her day!
