A name that is Arabic for "proud"; proud is exactly what Portland artist, Motaz is. He has actively been a singer/songwriter/producer for over 10 years and has no plans of slowing down. Growing up in the incomparable city of Portland, he was blessed with the opportunity to be continuously surrounded by creativity, humility and diversity.
After learning drums at age thirteen, music consumed his life. This lead to learning guitar, piano, bass, vocals and how to produce his own music. There was no stopping him in his vigorous pursuit of chasing his dreams and becoming a household name in the music industry. In his time as an artist, his proudest moments include being recognized by the Mayor of Portland for his work, performing at the Portland Fashion Show in Pioneer Square, having his music be played at the Portland Trailblazers games and most recently, being recognized as a November Artist of the month in 2018 by a Nashville music blog.
Motaz's music is available on all streaming services, including his latest album, Kadupul, which he wrote, produced and performed on his own.
