"I want people to feel like they're sitting on the back porch of a cabin on the bank of a river," says Matt Craw, songwriter/multi-instrumentalist of Bad Ear, "...except they just robbed the cabin, and now they gotta hightail it."
In other words, he says, "a bit of the familiar for the hook, but then we're off to grizzly roaming territory."
Bad Ear's debut album, There's Just the Dance, is a raw (occasionally darkly humorous and self-deprecating) exploration of self, love, and addiction, and ultimately presents the question, "when you cancel the noise from your life, what's left?"
