Jonathan Pierce

Jonathan Pierce is a young singer/songwriter making his home in Portland, Oregon. He grew up singing in church to which he attributes his soulful sensibilities. He achieved a degree in audio production and "cut his teeth," so to speak, as a producer/engineer/studio musician in the desert of Arizona, creating his "new sound with an old school attitude." With his first release "Lesson Learned" under the name Jonathan Pierce Project, he has made his first splash in the music world. With veterans like Tim Robinson on drums, Kerry Campbell, formerly of the band War and the Dramatics, on saxophone, and two time Grammy winning bass player Mel Brown, as well as youngsters, Chris Hosken on guitar and Evan Rees on keys, he blends jazz, r&b, with blues and folk to create his unique brand of soul and he continues to evolve his sound as a solo performer.
