Matthew Lindley

Bluesy Americana Rock

Matthew Lindley

From the initial sip to the final glass-emptying swallow, Matthew Lindley creates a vibe that invites you to pull up a chair, pour yourself a pint, and relax among friends. With the storytelling heart of a troubadour, the passion and soul of a prophet and the gritty twang of a sagebrush sinner Lindley loads the virtual jukebox with a smokey blend of Blues, Americana, Rockabilly, and Southern soul that has Nashville leanings but is firmly rooted in the PNW.

Take a long, deep listen to Late Bloomer, the latest album from Lindley and allow the flavor of this blend of boxcar swing, hobo blues, two-step rockabilly, gambler soul ballad, disco sing-along mood collective to slide through your veins and beat with your heart. No designated driver needed just a raw need for a great album and the beautiful distraction it can provide.

J. Moses & The Ragged Sunday

Heavy Meddlin' Honky Tonkin'

J. Moses & The Ragged Sunday

J. Moses is the musical alias of Portland-ish native singer-songwriter Jason Morgan.
He's a sleeper. Some might say he's a bit late to the game.

Raised in the hills of Clatskanie, OR his earliest musical exposure consisted mainly of Metal (Heavy and Hair Band courtesy of his older brother) and 70's AM Gold (courtesy of the family station wagon radio and cardboard box of 45's).

Sometime in the waning years of his 30's he made the rare decision to take a mid life stab at being a singer-songwriter. This inevitably led to the often daunting process of "putting a band together". So he took the path of least resistance by recruiting three friends, all of whom were already longtime active Portland musicians.

Enter guitarist Joel Roth (The Low Bones, Daystar), bass guitarist Kip Lindig (WhistlePunk!, Timber County, Barn Burners), and drummer Chris Hutton (RootJack, Hong Kong Banana). Together they make up The Ragged Sunday, which is no accident. Many of their musical themes are rooted in salvation. Deliverance from lost love, broken promises, and the feeling that we are all just hanging on by a thread. Redemption found by embracing our addictions, our fears, and the inherent vice that is our own mortality.
J. Moses and the Ragged Sunday is "rootsy storytelling with a modern classic rock edge". Imagine the music of Crazy Horse, Springsteen, Haggard and The Band getting baptized in a moody Pacific Northwest rainstorm, circa 1992.

The Low Bones

The Low Bones

Travel the back roads of America, through ghost towns in the deepest part of the west or the majestic river valleys of the south, and you are in the musical territory of The Low Bones --Americana. Drawing on a mix of influences, the original songwriting recalls the country-rock sound of Buck Owens, Graham Parsons, Uncle Tupelo and enough grit to add Tom Petty to the mix.
