Between Dimensions

Eclectic instrumental rock

Between Dimensions Brandon Hilton - lead guitar

Brian Christopher - guitars & baritone guitar

Michael Langman - bass guitars

Paul Ansotegui - drums & percussives

The four members of Between Dimensions are accomplished veterans and current members of numerous Northwest bands in almost every genre of music; rock, jazz, pop, R&B, country, classical, blues, soul, fusion and many hybrids in between.

In the instrumental music they make together, they weave a highly melodic, high-energy, multi-layered tapestry of sound, blending elements from all of their separate and shared musical experiences, influences and ideas into something eclectic, electric and at times even ecstatic.

And while their live-in-the-studio recordings are certainly exciting to listen to, when you actually see them play live, you'll realize just how exciting it is for them to play that music, too, as they turn and twist and groove their way through the songs every time they're performed as if they were playing them for both the first time and the last, ever exploring new possibilities in the compositions and holding nothing back.

Some of the bands the members of Between Dimensions have lent their talents to include The Ken DeRouchie Band, Colin Lake & Wellbottom, Mike Prigodich, MPEG, Spheric, Midnight Honey, Dreams in Exile, Fiction, Graxxus, Munx, Boomchow, Push One Pull One, Mercy River, Very Large Numbers, The Late Sleepers, Season of Rain, Double Helix and Woody, Wiseman & Sprague.

If you decide to trust Between Dimensions enough to hop in with them and take a spin around the block, you'll probably have a very good time. Just hold on tight through the turns.

Left Turn

Rock/blues & jazz

Left Turn ...a convergence of four individuals blending rock, blues and jazz... like taking a journey to a familiar place, but taking a new and exciting musical path.

Slade Nooney

bass

Slade was drawn to bass from an early age but didn't pick it up until his late teens. Originally from the South, he has since played music in several states which cultivated a deep appreciation for music from a wide range of genres, styles and cultures.

Jon Fox

guitars

Originally from Philadelphia, Jon studied jazz guitar at the University of Denver in Colorado. He has been integrating his influences from prog rock, classic/psychedelic rock and jazz fusion into his unique style over the past twenty years. He has played guitar with local bands in Philadelphia, Denver, Albuquerque, Atlanta and Portland.

Steve Lauer

drums

Growing up in the Midwest, Steve was inspired by progressive rock bands such as Rush, Yes, Styx and Kansas. He moved to the Northwest in 2004 and has helped create blues, heavy rock and progressive instrumental rock bands, each helping to develop his melodic yet solid approach to drumming.

Evan Egener

guitars

A native Portland guitarist, Evan has performed locally for over 10 years. With an ear for diverse and worldly influence, he studied music composition at Bard College in New York. Now, he cultivates a multi-dimensional sound, blending jazz, funk and rock, with blues central to his style.
