Seth Myzel Band
Classic, powerful rock
Seth Myzel, a Portland, Ore., native, started his professional career opening for local musicians in bars at a young age of 17. He then formed a five-piece band, Kismet, in the late '90's and opened for international acts like the Steve Miller Band & Monster Magnet and local big boys Floater & Smoochknob. In 2004 tragedy destroyed Myzel's first brainchild Kismet just on the brink of international success. Devastated, Myzel continued to write his music in seclusion, alone with his guitar, reflecting on the innermost workings of his soul. Myzel broke out of seclusion in late 2010 to return to the stage as a solo artist. His huge guitar sound and dominating voice filled the hearts and minds of many as he began to rebuild a name in the industry.
"It's hard to place my music in just one category. My fans tell me I sound like a culmination of all of their favorite artists, no matter how diverse those artists may be," Myzel said. It is an honor to be mentioned in the same league as the greatest artists of all time. I love my fans, thank you for keeping me ALIVE!"
Myzel's music is noticeably influenced by such artists as: Cat Stevens, Neil Young, Guns n Roses, Alice in Chains, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Ray Lamontagne, Willie Nelson, Credence Clearwater Revival, Stone Temple Piolots, Jimmy Hendricks, The Doors, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, George Harrison and GOD.
In 2013 Myzel formed a four-piece band still under his name consisting of three talented musicians. The combined musical talents brings over 80 years of of rock experience to the stage! Mark Kingen (30+ yrs bass) Tyson Schmidling (30+ yrs guitar, mandolin, banjo) and Myzel (30+ yrs guitar, harmonica, drums, songwriting, vocals).
Myzel's powerfully unique "WHISKEY VELVET" voice and rock arrangements beckon to be recognized internationally.
