Pop Cult Folk Rock Twang

Wind Fields is a four-piece band based out of Callahan, California. They have a van and are not afraid to use it.

We came from separate and varying experiences. We journeyed through our own jungles and grappled with the cosmic sense of it all, and continue to do so. In the name of adventure we set out to ask questions we were uncertain would be answered. Through all of our failures and triumphs we eventually found each other. Unlike the true romance magazines might have you believe, we did not fall in love at first sight. Everybody had to make an effort to reach out to each person in order to give the band a chance to even be thought of as one in the first place. Late night drives over snowy passes, flooded valley's, and deer ridden highways was only the beginning of our sound. We are a band but we are a people. We now look towards the snowy passes and miles of highway so we can present our craft to all the other adventurers out there. We are Wind Fields, and we're heading your way.

Bart Budwig

Singer-Songwriter

Bart Budwig grew up on the Idaho Palouse, with a pawn shop trumpet and a heart as big as a skyscraper - if skyscrapers knew how to be humble. Bart learned melody from classic jazz charts and found that fault-lines in big hearts create drifting continents, cut new oceans and forge new mountains. Eventually, everyone close to him disappeared, whether to death or Texas, and it was from Texas that he got a letter from Waylon Jennings inviting him to pick up a guitar and a pen.

Budwig doesn't write the big songs. He writes songs about places between the hills, in the draws and hidden canyons where truth is a little more in focus, stories take their time being told, heartbreak is a place of deep reflection, and melodies don't have to wear rhinestone suits or drive shiny, new cars to be beautiful.

In 2016, Bart Budwig played over 150 out-of-town shows and has shared the stage with Blind Pilot, Joseph, Alan Stone, Joe Pug, Justin Townes Earle, Damien Jurado, Mason Jennings and many more. He will be releasing his 5th full-length album Paint by Numbers Jesus on April 1st, 2017, a swamp-country concept record pulling from grooves of Motown and the American deep south in the 60s and 70s.

Annachristie Sapphire

modern day minstrel

Annachristie Sapphire is a modern day minstrel. From the Philadelphia underground music scene to the vast arms of California's Mojave desert, Currently based in Portland Oregon.
Annachristie's songwriting lends itself to an emotionally evocative experience for her listeners time and time again.
She explores new measures of experimental Folk and Desert Rock by marrying the genres with styles more grunge, dreamlike, and enduring-
reminiscent to the rawness and unabashedness brought to light by many of our favorite music rebels of the 90's.
With this, Sapphire create a sense of nostalgia even for those who might be hearing her music for the first time. Her melodies are like a bridge transporting you to a wild place where you will find yourself content in listening to her song,
And yet the strength and clearness of her voice will awaken you from the dream like state you have found yourself in.

Annachristie has shared the stage with household favorites such as First Aid Kit, Amos Lee, Langhorne Slim, As well as Victoria Williams.
In fact Don't be surprised if you hear the beloved Victoria Williams distinctive and quirky voice singing harmonies on Annachristie Sapphires's forthcoming LP
Titled "Desert Car" Which is incidentally about a 1992 Buick Road master Station Wagon. Before you know it you will find yourself in the passenger seat
singing along to an incredibly catchy pre-chorus/chorus. "Desert Car" is as freeing as it was written to be.
