Dennis Johnson is one of the virtuoso slide guitar players performing today. Guitar World Magazine calls him a "slide guitar master." You would say San Francisco native Dennis Johnson is one of the hardest working musicians with a deep passion for preserving and innovating roots music.

Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dennis heard the music of Chuck Berry and it struck a chord with him. As a teenager, he taught himself the guitar and discovered his passion for slide guitar. He discovered the music of Robert Johnson, Roy Rogers and Norton Buffalo and was hooked. Dennis recalled "seeing Roy play the first time really blew me away. A huge influence on my music."

Dennis' deep passion for rhythm forms the basis for his new album, Rhythmland. Recently released on Root Tone Records, Rhythmland is Dennis' most personal album. His life experiences shaped the diversity of rhythms, songs, and lyrics explored on the album. The album received critical acclaim.

Spawned from Portland, Oregon's crazy good music scene Nervous Jenny formed quickly after a 4 hour jam session. Tom had the songs and the heart, Mick and Jolie had the backbeat and the soul. They entered the legendary Kung Fu Bakery to lay down the tracks and it all came together under the watchful eye of Dean Baskerville (Sheryl Crow, Everclear, Pink Martini). The result?
