Melville

Melville is the project of Ryan T Jacobs, recently relocated from Berlin, Germany to Portland, Oregon. After 3+ years of being based in Berlin, playing solo shows all around Germany, Jacobs decided it was time to form a band to fill out the songs he'd been performing solo for so long. Recorded and mixed at Low Swing studios (Keane, Yoko Ono, Junior Boys, etc), the 4-song debut EP, Erstwhile, serves as a sort of time capsule for Jacobs' stay in the city he considers a second home, and as an album, it is a demonstration of the various facets and potential of Jacobs' songwriting.

Black Sheep Black

Lava Lamp Americana

Black Sheep Black

Gritty warbirds and road bred players with numerous critically acclaimed bands under their belts including Radio Silents, Nero's Rome, Ray, Sing Sing Sleepwalker and Big House. From Portland Oregon, Black Sheep Black features Jack Inglis on Vocals, Armin Bestel on guitar/vocals and bassist Jeff Goocher.

Combined, this is a formidable family tree whose branches span from West Coast to Eastern Seaboard, down to Nashville touching Austin, then back to L.A.'s X- fueled punk scene returning up highway 101 to San Francisco with flowers in her hair.

Lava Lamp Americana, these twang gazers toss a healthy dose of Rockabilly, 70's Gold, Power Pop, Spaghetti C&W and Backwoods Psychedelia influences into well-crafted hook laden songs, lyrically smart, delivered with vocal intensity and instrumental prowess.
