Happy Birthday, Black Rabbit Red!

Happy Birthday, Black Rabbit Red!

Happy birthday to a modern classic and one of our most popular Edgefield wines!

Introducing Black Rabbit Red Reserve
This very special wine is now available for the first time by the glass at Edgefield's Winery and Black Rabbit Restaurant and Grand Lodge's Pat's Corner only.

We held several barrels of our 2019 Black Rabbit Red for additional aging, patiently waiting as it developed densely concentrated flavors of fig, blackberry and chocolate. The best of the lot - just six barrels - were selected and bottled as Black Rabbit Red Reserve.

By the Bottle
We produced a small number of bottles; they are available beginning April 2 for a limited time at:
Edgefield Gift Shop
Edgefield Winery Tasting Room
Kennedy School Gift Shop
Grand Lodge Gift Shop
Anderson School Market
23rd Avenue Bottle Shop
Kalama Harbor Lodge Market
Elks Temple Bottle Shop

Black Rabbit Red
named for Edgefield's fabled mascot, Black Rabbit Red is a smooth & spicy blend composed of classic Bordeaux varietals with a Pacific Northwest twist 8.75

Cellarmaster's Dip
shaved rib eye, sautéed mushrooms & blue cheese on a garlic-Parmesan grilled roll with Black Rabbit Red jus for dipping, served with fries or tots 17

About Mission Theater

Experience a slice of Portland history. What is now known simply as “the Mission” was originally home to the Swedish Mission Covenant congregation in the early 20th century, and despite its staid, buttoned up appearance, this place now hosts live music, video dance nights and special events on select nights each month.

For ADA accommodations please contact us by email at boxoffice@mcmenamins.com or by phone at (503) 225-0047. Please note we are only able to accommodate in this section until it is at capacity.

History

The location that serves as one of McMenamins favorite neighborhood theater pubs was the locus of great spiritual zeal beginning in the 1890s. That's when the Swedish Evangelical Mission established its church here....

From a church to a theater-pub to event space, the Mission's history ain't exactly saintly. Click here for more info!
