Lee Walker and the Sleep Talkers

Born and raised in the state of Oregon, Lee Walker is a drummer with a penchant for songcraft. In recent years they have enjoyed discovering a voice within the storied tradition of country western music.

Born and raised in the Portland metro area, Lee Walker is a drummer-turned-songsmith with a song in their heart and a tear in their beer. In 2020 they decided to first try their hand at penning their own original tunes in a vein similar to slacker heros such as Blaze Foley and John Prine, and they haven't looked back since. The following year Lee wrote, recorded, and released their first full length album; Bad Actor. Lee decided to put a band together to bring these songs to life and the Sleep Talkers were born. Comprised of a well rounded group of passionate musicians who also happen to be lifelong friends, Lee Walker and the Sleep Talkers' unique brand of honky tonk heart break steeped in self actualization is sure to make your toe tap just as much as it makes your heart swell.

Head downstairs at the Crystal Hotel to hang out in this venue named for Al Winter, Portland's 1940's gambling overlord. Enjoy a craft libation in this intimate, speakeasy-style space where live music and comedy fill the air.
