Rhythm and Verse

Rhythm and Verse is a group of local musicians performing a wide variety of music that is sure to please a diverse audience. Communicating and playing through the infinite songbook with a live audience is always a blast!

• Joe Keller: Singer, rhythm guitarist, percussionist with several groups in the Puget Sound area over many years. Influences revolve around outstanding harmony-based groups in rock, jazz, funk, and country-rock.

• John Born: Lead and backing vocalist who also hits the cajon when given the chance. He has sung and played in venues in and around Puget Sound for more decades than is really seemly.

• Joe Contris: Guitarist who has been playing around the Pacific Northwest for many years in a variety of groups to include bar band rock, instrumental jazz, and classic & contemporary pop.

• Paul Black: Freelance bassist residing and performing in Tacoma, Seattle, and the surrounding areas. Combining his influences from Pino Palladino to Christian McBride, Paul enjoys all styles of the low end. He has studied with Dan Chmielinski, Greg Feingold, and Eric Wheeler.
