Theodore Alexander Lennon /Ted Lennon was born at home in Ojai, California November 3, 1976 into a musical family. Raised by the musicality of his dad who formerly had a band in the 60's ‘The Other Half' who opened for The Doors, The Yardbirds, & Van Morrison's earliest group ‘Them'. Growing up in a musical environment of family sing-a-longs which included Ted's cousins ‘The Lennon Sisters' known for their weekly appearance on the Lawrence Welk show. His childhood was spent surfing the Ventura coastline & exploring the back-country Los Padres national forests of Ojai. The influence of his native environment comes through in his song: layed back love songs & mellow beachy blend of Southern California singer songwriter genre. From playing the subway stations & nightclubs of New York City to touring Japan with Jack Johnson, an old soul a timeless sound; Ted Lennon is a breath of fresh air.
Influenced by: Hank Williams, Harry Bellafonte, Harry Nielsen, Willie Nelson, Joni Mitchell, Cat Stevens, Thom Yorke, Nick Drake, Townes Van Zandt, Paul Simon, Merle Haggard, Lou Reed... Ted has performed & Collaborated with Jack Johnson , Brett Dennen, Colbie Caillat, Jamie Drake among other friends.
