Balanced Breakfast, which was started in San Francisco, presents its first music showcase in Portland at Al's Den. Featuring a variety of local Portland artists as well as touring bands, it will be the ultimate example of community in the music industry. In addition to hosting showcases, we also connect people through our music industry meetups, and summits. Katelyn Convery's achingly honest, alternative rock/pop tones soothe while begging deeper questions. A buttery, breathless roar over a ferocious acoustic guitar, this singer-songwriter is defined by the many places she's called "home." This theme also reveals itself in her music with unexpected chord changes and guitar-picked flourishes. Born and raised in Oregon, her truest home resides in the song she writes.

TREASVRE is a band of five San Francisco Bay Area natives that blends elements of post-rock and shoegaze with rich synth textures, heavy guitar riffs, and electronic rhythms. Vocalists Sabrina Simonton and Samantha Peña create wistful harmonies that underscore the themes of nostalgia, melancholy, and hopefulness found in their lyrics. The drama and depth conveyed by the music creates a distinctly cinematic quality - one that captures the complex range of human emotion in beautiful, inspiring ways and absolutely begs to be experienced live.

Jah's Tin is a multi-media music project combining elements of Neo-psychedelia, Dub, And Rock. With psychedelic video manipulations, trance-inducing grooves, tribal drums, and swirling synths laying the foundation for the spaced-out vocal melodies to dance upon. A flowing waterfall of sound and sight. If you listen closely, you might even catch hints of Robert Fripp and Throbbing Gristle industrial post-punk ambiance. Highly recommended for soundtracking explorations of inner space.

Saint John's music career has gone from hitchhiking and performing in the streets of Europe to opening shows for national touring acts and recording with Peter Buck of R.E.M. From 2014-2020 he performed over 1200 shows throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Head downstairs at the Crystal Hotel to hang out in this venue named for Al Winter, Portland's 1940's gambling overlord. Enjoy a craft libation in this intimate, speakeasy-style space where live music and comedy fill the air.
