Fresh-Hopped Fest

Fresh-hopped beers don't come around often, so our advice is to taste as many as you can, while you can. What's so special about these once-a-year wonders? Think of a piney forest on a dewy morning. Imagine citrus tart, but not sour. Conjure the fresh herbs of summer. A whisper of floral notes, and you're halfway to imagining a fresh-hopped beer.

And when we say fresh, we mean it: brewers add these hops to waiting beers within hours of picking, and each variety adds aroma and flavor all its own. Mosaic, Cascade, Strata, Centennial, Sabra - the Northwest is a mecca of hop-growing, so they're all within reach of our breweries, and you'll find them all at this brewfest, including some of our favorites reimagined with fresh hops: Hammerhead Ale, Sunflower IPA and Ghost Rabbit Pilsner. Hammerhead Fresh Hop Ale

The Hammerhead you know and love - but brewed with fresh hops! 16-oz cans will be around for a limited time, and we'll have some available for sale to go at Fresh-Hopped Fest. Plus, cans will be available at other locations. The only way to find one is to check the can: You'll find "FRESH HOP!" printed on the bottom.

The Campfire Boys

Acoustic, Deadish, Grassy Fun!

The Campfire Boys is a new project featuring Justin John and Rich Landar.

Justin is best known for his lead guitar playing with Portland's Garcia Birthday Band, the Northwest's top interpreters of the music of the Grateful Dead.

Rich plays mandolin in The Hillwilliams, one of Portland's hottest Bluegrass Bands, who play a mix of traditional and original bluegrass.

The Campfire Boys give Justin and Rich a chance to play a wide variety of material which came together over the last few years around actual campfires throughout Oregon and Washington.

The Campfire Boys are currently finishing a self titled album of all original material which was recorded over the last few months, in a completely socially distanced manner. The songwriter would start a song, send tracks to the other Campfire Boy and then repeat the process until done. The estimated release date is 9/15/20.
