With her unmistakable, passionate vocals and detailed songwriting rich with sly wisdom, Whitney Rose has remained a casual, assured Americana tour de force throughout the past decade.

Born on Canada's East Coast province Prince Edward Island (Potatoes, Anne of Green Gables), Rose has called Austin, TX home since 2015, falling in love with and fully embracing the independent spirit of Austin's bygone era paved way by the likes of renowned artists Nanci Griffith, Lucinda Williams, and Jerry Jeff Walker.

She is a prolific songwriter, single handedly penning all but a select few numbers on her six studio recordings. With critically acclaimed work and worldwide plaudits she has cemented herself as one of the most captivating roots-focused musicians of her generation.

She doesn't do it alone - her current band includes storied players: drummer Lisa Pankratz (Dave Alvin, Billy Joe Shaver, Hayes Carll), bassist Brad Fordham (Jerry Jeff Walker, Dave Alvin, Kelly Willis), and guitarist Dave Leroy Biller (Texas Playboys, Deke Dickerson, Hunt Sales).

Head downstairs at the Crystal Hotel to hang out in this venue named for Al Winter, Portland's 1940's gambling overlord. Enjoy a craft libation in this intimate, speakeasy-style space where live music and comedy fill the air.
