Lane Norberg

Lane Norberg is a singer-songwriter from Portland, OR. Growing up in Montana, he took lessons learning to play piano and drums, but didn't begin playing the guitar or singing until college. During these years, Norberg began to play and record cover songs, but soon he was writing and performing his own music and quickly began to gain fans in the area. After graduating from college in 2016, Norberg shifted his focus towards his music career, and got connected with Basecamp Recording Studio, a recording space located in beautiful Bozeman, MT, where Norberg recorded his first EP: "Under the Trees".
In 2018, Norberg relocated to Portland, OR, where he has gained many faithful fans by playing hundreds of shows and touring all over the Pacific Northwest. Since landing in Portland, Norberg has made a name for himself in the vibrant local scene - becoming a regular performer at many popular venues and winning the 2019 Local Roots Music Northwest Songwriting contest. During this time, Norberg also recorded and released 4 singles
In 2020, Lane Norberg set his sights high on recording his first full-length record. Working with producer Justin Klump, Norberg went to Nashville, TN to record the new album with some of the best musicians in the industry. The new album, 'Coming to Life' released on Aug 20th, 2021, and is already beginning to make some noise. It was named the September 'Album of the Month' by Local Roots Music NW and the song 'We're Not Alone' was featured on the SiriusXM The Pulse show 'Train Tracks' hosted by Pat Monahan of Train. Full of energy and bright with hope, 'Coming to Life' is a beautiful reminder to make the most of every moment and chase the unknown.
Norberg's indie-folk sound has been described as "James Taylor meets John Mayer", and he has a knack for writing a killer love song. His vision as an artist is to spread joy through his music, and to bring hope to anyone who listens. Through catchy hooks and intentional lyrics, Lane Norberg's voice and songwriting are sure to leave you smiling.
