Third Annual Local Roots Songwriting Contest Finals

Join us for the Third Annual Local Roots Music NW Songwriting Contest Finals on Sunday, January 26 at the White Eagle at 7 pm. Four finalists in each category (Acoustic Singer-Songwriter, Americana, Country Blues and Folk, and Rock, Pop and Soul) will compete for cash prizes and the winners will appear on the Local Roots radio show. A panel of three judges from the Local Music Industry will evaluate the finalists.

In addition to performances from the finalists, several past contest winners will also perform songs throughout the event.

Past winners of the contest include Portland singer-songwriter David Pollack and Kristen Grainger from the Salem Band True North.

Tickets are $10 at the door.

This will be a special show with kids in mind. This showcase series is curated for families that have an interest in live music and have a desire to expose their children to various musical styles. Each month's lineup of artists represent the best in their genre. Make this a monthly family outing, you'll be happily surprised. This all ages event runs every 2nd Sunday from 4-6pm during happy hour with happy hour prices!
