Rainbow Electric's own Joshua H. Metz has landed himself a seven day residency at the one and only Al's Den in the beautiful Crystal Hotel in Portland, Ore.!

Joshua picked up the guitar for the first time at the angsty and impressionable age of 17 years old in the small train town of Kingman, Ariz., and through his love of rock and roll inadvertently found himself a traveling minstrel.

Portland found his interest through his travels following the infamy of the legendary band Furthur around the country, and with that came great vision... a vision that would later lead to the creation of Rainbow Electric.

Now it's time to celebrate all the people who have helped to keep the vision clear and unobstructed. So many sit-ins over the years by so many wonderful musicians from some of the greatest bands, and so many great fans who are also a network of very talented and compassionate individuals. YOU are the Rainbow All-Stars! Every one of you who has helped keep it going, especially in the face of great adversity, you deserve to have YOUR name in lights, and THAT is what this gathering is ALL ABOUT.

Tuesday night's show will be a Grateful Dead night featuring special guests Rich Landar, Carey Rodgers, Josh Biggs & Jack McGrane.

About Al's Den

Head downstairs at the Crystal Hotel to hang out in this venue named for Al Winter, Portland's 1940's gambling overlord. Enjoy a craft libation in this intimate, speakeasy-style space where live music and comedy fill the air.

Wednesday & Thursday, 3 pm – 10 pm
Friday & Saturday, 3 pm – 1 am
Sunday, 3 pm - 10 pm
Closed Monday & Tuesday
Happy Hour drinks served 11 am – 5 pm
Happy Hour food served 2 – 5 pm and 10 pm – close
Late night happy hour on Friday & Saturday served 11pm – 1am
