Smith/McKay All Day

Smith/McKay All Day

Jimmy is best known for his 2 decades performing with famed Austin, TX alt-country outfit, The Gourds, as one of the two principal songwriters and bass player. Though best known for their viral "bluegrass" cover of Snoop Dogg's Gin n' Juice, their 12 albums and thousands of live shows have been lauded by critics across the years and across the country (Paste, Pitchfork, Austin Chronicle, NPR). Alongside Kevin "Shinyribs" Russell, Max Johnston (formerly of Wilco), Claude Bernard and Keith Langford, the band relentlessly toured the country, playing every festival stage imaginable and recording with the likes of Doug Sahm and long-time Bob Dylan sideman, Larry Campbell (at Levon Helm's house). Though their days as a band came to an end in 2013, Jimmy has continued playing music as The Hard Pans, The Jimmy Smith System and most recently as a power duo in Smith-McKay All Day.

Smith/McKay All Day (formed in early 2018) combines Jimmy's bar-band-booty-shaking grooves and surreal tongue-in-cheek songwriting with the Texas/Montana blues and country sensibilities of seasoned bluesman, Pat McKay. Smith/McKay All Day calls Missoula, MT home. Please check out Jimmy's website for more information.

Cow Paddy Stompers

Roots & bluegrass

Cow Paddy Stompers

The Cow Paddy Stompers were founded in the Pacific Northwest, with origins as a bluegrass band. With roots planted firmly in the traditions and history of American music, they transcend styles to bring the songs to life. From original music that sounds timeless to new takes on old gems, these guys will get your feet stompin'. Great for music lovers of all ages, the Stompers are CJ Mead (vocals, mandolin, guitar), John Slovik (vocals, guitar, slide guitar), Dan Toulson (vocals, bass) and Austin Stewart (drums). The four friends bring together influences from all across the country and blend them in the Rose City.
