Ghosts Like Us
5 piece alternative band
Ghosts Like Us is a five piece alternative band based in Portland Oregon
combining wide ranging soulful vocals with organ and guitar riffs. The group
was co-founded by song writing duo Matthew Gailey and Peter Lance after
collaborating on Matthew's 2013 solo debut EP Beast in Babylon. Willamette
Week describes Ghosts Like Us as "Indie rock bending
around a retro sound..." and Pink Martini's China Forbes
"...was blown away by Matthew's voice the minute he started to sing.
He has an effortless sound!"
Gailey, a singer with a gospel, jazz and rock background, has shared
the stage with a number of Portland musicians and bands including the Portland
Cello Project in a concert version of Radiohead's OK Computer at the
Aladdin and opened for Pink Martini's China Forbes for NW
Film Center's annual gala.
Although still fairly new to Portland's music scene, Ghosts Like Us
has been featured at local events including BMW Motorfest Northwest's annual
vintage car festival and benefit for the Oregon Food Bank, Portland
Monthly Magazine's "Light a Fire" awards dinner at the
Portland Art Museum and a community event for Weiden Kennedy Center.
The group can also be found playing their favorite local haunts including The
White Eagle, Alberta Street Pub and The
Secret Society.
