Half-Grassed Band

Featuring seasoned musicians, the Half-Grassed Band combines the flavors of Merle, Johnny, Waylon, Willie, Doc, and The Allman Brothers, to create new versions of tunes you already know the words to...and some you don't. Half-Grassed creates these new versions with close harmonies and fine musicianship, resulting in toe-tapping renditions, appreciated by young and old.

Biographies:

Half-Grassed combines the talents and varied musical backgrounds of the following individuals:

Scott Cronin: On bass guitar and vocals, Scott is a native of eastern Oregon, and has been playing actively with several well-known bands, including Steve Bradley, Jim Mesi, Jon Koonce, and others. His bass playing is "solid as a rock".

John Stocks: On guitar and vocals, John brings his wide array of experience and styles to the band with enthusiasm. You may have shopped at one of the music stores he has owned. He is one fine guitar player.

David Chalupsky: On banjo and vocals, David has to be one of the finest players in the region. Scruggs style...melodic style...David "has it down".

John Keys: On Dobro, Mr. Keys plays with a solid and soulful sound. A veteran of numerous bands, John knows what sounds good, and brings it..."in spades". For our own safety, we don't let Mr. Keys sing.

Stevan Rogers: On mandolin and vocals, Stevan brings his many years of musicianship and experience to the band. A veteran of numerous bluegrass/country bands, and bluegrass festivals, Stevan has "the hang of it" on mandolin.

Half-Grassed is composed of experienced and talented musicians, creating a sound that is enjoyed by audiences of all ages.
