This Brewery opened as part of the rejuvenated Old St. Francis School in 2004. Once the basement lunchroom of the former Catholic school, the area has been transformed to facilitate the creation of the handcrafted ales that St. Francis' patrons have come to know and admire. Who doesn't love chocolate? Pairing chocolate with beer has become a popular trend in the craft beer world and we figured we'd take a whack at it. We started with a thick, roasty, full-bodied Oatmeal Porter and blended it with pure liquid cacao from the chocolate master minds over at Cholaka. To put the cherry on top (pun intended,) we threw in some Bing Cherries to sweeten the deal.
