About Maxwell Friedman Trio

Maxwell Friedman Trio

Maxwell has always had an affinity for music. He began playing the piano just three and a half years ago and with his impressive ear and natural understanding ...of music, he has become a funky force to be reckoned with. This past summer Maxwell took the festival scene by storm, sharing the stage with legendary saxophone player Karl Denson (of the Rolling Stones), as well as sitting in with Michael Franti, ALO, Jellybread, the Quick and Easy Boys and Elektrapod. He was invited to play in the all-star jam at this year's Bend Roots Revival and often performs under the guidance of local musician and teacher Georges Bouhey. Although his first love is the keyboard, Maxwell aspires to be a multi-instrumentalist and has taken up the harmonica, melodica, keytar and drums. Maxwell's influences include Herbie Hancock, Phish, and Stevie Wonder just to name a few.
