About Electric Kif
Electric Kif are a Miami-based power quartet that explore the boundaries between rock, jazz fusion and electronic drum & bass. Made up of bassist Rodrigo Zambrano, keyboardist Jason Matthews, drummer Armando Lopez and guitarist Eric Escanes, Electric Kif have garnered attention of the live music scene for their eclectic take on groove and their own brand of 'post-nuclear music'.
Their most recent LP 'DREAMLIKE' features international heavy hitters Aaron Parks & Chris Bullock (Snarky Puppy). Their latest stand alone single 'ACTUAL PROOF' is a special collaboration with Adam Deitch (Lettuce, Break Science) and a nod to their inspiration Herbie Hancock. Electric Kif have released four albums independently to date.
Appearances include Rochester International Jazz Festival, Ground Up Music Festival, Bear Creek Festival, Miami Downtown Jazz Festival, Hullaween, Suwannee Rising Festival, Shakori Hills Festival, Hometeam Festival and more. They have performed with Snarky Puppy, Jojo Mayer/Nerve, Stanley Jordan, Ghost Note, Adam Deitch, Cory Henry, Roosevelt Collier, Tauk, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, The Motet, Marco Benevento, and more.
