Jack Maybe was forged in the fires of the American sound. The sirens of Blues, Jazz, Folk, and Bluegrass grew nearby and he was able to learn their tunes. Through the centuries, he found different beasts who were his kin, and together they began to sing the songs of the Old Monsters who roamed the earth before they. The monsters change form and ferocity, but the songs remain the same.
Booty shaking, heart racing, soul rattling folk rock.Resist the Mundane. Resist Complacency. Resist Domesticity and go Feral. When we say we dance to the beat of our own drum, we mean "toms", and lots of them. Imagine folk rock, but raised by werewolves. Drinks a lot of wine, writes a lot of songs, and howls at the moon. The kind of friend who talks you into skinny dipping even though it's March. Singing for the restless spirits, howling for the haunted hearts.
Russell James Pyle is a singer-songwriter from Albuquerque, NM. His songs focus on the American experience. He released his first album post-The Porter Draw, "RISE" in May of 2016 and an EP entitled "SEASONS" in December of 2016. Russell has been the artist-in-residence at Big Bend National Park and continues to tour regularly. His performances are emotive, uplifting, and unforgettable.
