About Wes Youssi and The County Champs

Wes Youssi and The County Champs

Wes is a songwriter & musician from Portland, Oregon. Born in Chicago, IL, he spent his formative years living in rural Belvidere(Boone County), surrounded by 2 corn farms and a large swath of empty woods. His passion for country music began at 6 years old listening to his grandmother play Patsy Cline & Jim Reeves records.

In his short life of 38 years he has: bused tables in Indiana, punched someone in the face, been laid-off, married, made children, lived in Detroit, ate a cockroach, shot down a tree, & unknowingly purchased a former cop car. He's presently playing music, meeting great people, & hustling in and around the city of Portland. His dream is to get back to the old woods; before they get cut down.

About James Sasser

James Sasser

From CDBaby: [Sasser's] Southside of Sorrow is a modern-vintage record of roots music. Released in the summer of 2004, James Sasser has gained plenty of mileage from his debut CD. In March of 2005, "That Kinda Day" was chosen as music for a regionally broadcast television commercial for Henry Weinhard's Beer. Also, that song was included on Failing Records Compilation of Portland: Volume 1 in 2005. "Lost and Found" was chosen for use in the soundtrack for Liquid Insanity, a nationally released kayak movie/doc, in 2006. Others are in consistent rotation on internet radio as far away as Belgium and The Netherlands. Currently, James is hard at work on his second release and playing shows, as always.
