Pete Krebs is one of Portland's most beloved musical chameleons, and one of the few to have played gigs at both CBGB's and Perservation Hall. He's best known as the front man for 90's seminal Portland Punk band Hazel, and has shared the stages with artists as diverse as Elliott Smith, Mark Lanegan, Nirvana, The Holy Modeal Rounders, The Hot Club of Cowtown, and Danny Barnes, just to name a few. A musical time-traveler, Pete is in retrograde motion these days. He loves bringing back vintage swing, gypsy jazz, western swing, traditional country and rockabilly.
In addition to being an in-demand private music teacher, he works professionally as a swing jazz guitarist and singer for Portland's The Stolen Sweets, along with his own Pete Krebs Trio and Portland Playboys. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, giving questionable advice to the young ‘uns and sitting on his duff like the grumpy old man he is.
