The Hillwilliams are a group of Portland, OR musicians who have come together to celebrate the high lonesome sound and hot picking of traditional Bluegrass.
Brought together initially by admiration for bluegrass masters like Bill Monroe and The Stanley Brothers as well as 1970s bluegrass supergroup Old and in the Way, The Hillwilliams blend three strong vocalists, smoking fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo and doghouse bass, into a fun high energy mix, that harkens back to classic bluegrass, while exploring an exciting sound of their own. Whether they are playing the best of the traditional bluegrass repertoire, or playing their own original bluegrass songs, their shows are fun, high energy events that leave audiences asking for more.
The Hillwilliams' first album of original material, "Hill Yeah!", was released in February of 2015.
The Reverb Brothers offer a unique take on Americana, with original songs and obscure gems, that blend Blues, Country, Soul, New Orleans R&B, Country Blues and Rock & Roll with a distinctive 1930's sensibility. We feature three lead and harmony vocalists, acoustic and electric guitars, harmonica, keyboards, cornet, bass and drums. We always deliver a high energy show that brings people out on the dance floor.
The Whiskey Darlings is a downhome duo from Portland, OR, featuring sweet harmonies, acoustic guitars, and mandolin. When Rob Rainwater and Michele Van Kleef-both popular, local solo performers in their own right-recently discovered their shared love for singer/songwriter music of the 1960s and 70s, they instantly began crafting original music in the same vein. Rainwater brings his musical background in blues and bluegrass, while Van Kleef offers her stunning soulful vocals and background in rock and folk.
