About Bigfoot Mojo

Bigfoot Mojo

Upright bassist Belinda Underwood and national mandolin champion Josiah Payne met on the bluegrass scene in Portland, Oregon, as hired hands in other award-winning bands. Musicians in multiple genres since childhood, they both grew up in family bands before moving to Oregon, and were feeling orphaned without their families until they found each other in 2012. After playing together for 3 years as "Josiah and Belinda", they adoped the mascot of the Northwest when they became Bigfoot Mojo.

Songwriters and multi-instrumentalists, they have many creative offerings, including this new incarnation. Josiah and Belinda continue to mesmerize audiences with groove-based melodies and impeccable vocal harmonies (the kind that sound genetically-blended), setting a new standard for original music which defies genre boundaries.

Bigfoot Mojo plays with other amazing guest musicians to create a trio, quartet or bigger. Lately they have been featuring world-traveling guitarist Pete Kartsounes, when he is home from tour! Also featured is the young national twin fiddle champion Wilhelmina.

Josiah and Belinda also play together in the high-energy bluegrass band The Wild Wood and in their Middle Eastern funk band, Al Farasha.

About The Talbott Brothers

The Talbott Brothers

The Talbott Brothers are an Americana duo from Nebraska, currently based in Portland, Oregon. They form an alternative sound that balances sibling-blood-harmonies with their instrumental ensemble of guitars, mandolin, harmonicas and percussion. Their entertaining effect on stage is embraced by multiple generations, as they are known for charming and energetic performances that blend singer-songwriter styles with folk, rock, pop and blues.

About Ragged Union Bluegrass

Ragged Union Bluegrass

Boulder, Colorado, based original Bluegrass group, Ragged Union, will make their first appearance in Bend, Wednesday, October 14th, at McMenamin's Old St Francis School. The band will be on their way to Oakland for an Official Showcase performance at the 2015 Far West Folk Alliance Conference. Ragged Union is a six-piece, female-fronted bluegrass group, with a tinge of the traditional and a healthy dose of the blues. Featuring some of Colorado's finest pickers, Ragged Union takes the hard-driving, familiar sound of bluegrass and updates it with modern lyrics and arrangements - an "outsider" songwriting approach that has been steadily winning them fans since their inception in early 2014.
